The Enterprise Services Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Enterprise Services group.  The portfolio of services managed and provided by this group includes campus ID card (OneCard) related functions, campus telephones, alarms, and video monitoring.  The position is the lead on providing, coordinating, and supporting these services across campus for individual students, staff, faculty, campus guests, and groups.  They act as the administrative point of contact for academic and administrative offices in establishing and managing OneCard access rules and telephony services for buildings, spaces, and events.  They also support Dining Services and other offices in the use of OneCards for purchases, meal plans, and other business functions.  For alarms and video monitoring services, they act as a liaison between application administrators, field technicians, and business offices that utilize these services.  To ensure the best experience for the College community, the position collaborates with the LITS Help Desk, and other areas of the College, to ensure card and phone provisioning, access management, and support are functioning efficiently, adapting to current needs, and is evolving to meet future requirements.

The Assistant Vice President for Civil Rights and Title IX Coordinator is a key leader of the College’s equity and compliance work and an essential member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team centered around creating an inclusive campus community that works to eliminate bias. The Assistant Vice President for Civil Rights and Title IX Coordinator oversees the grievance process, case management of complaints and works to ensure compliance with related civil rights laws, including: Title VI of the Higher Education Act of 1965, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, as well as Massachusetts laws that prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, and disability. The Assistant Vice President supervises key staff including the Director of Accessible Education and 504 Coordinator and the Associate Director of Curriculum Development and LGBTQ+ Resources. As the Title IX Coordinator at Mount Holyoke College, the Assistant Vice President has primary responsibility for the implementation of the compliance program and grievance procedures as they pertain to the assessment and resolution of bias reports and other grievances, accessibility requirements, and assessment and resolution of complaints of violation of Title IX, Sexual Misconduct. The Assistant Vice President works collaboratively to create a culture of consent across campus, raise awareness of educational resources around gender and sexuality in the context of sexual violence prevention and community wellness. The Assistant Vice President co-chairs the Bias Education Support Team (BEST) leading the response to reports of bias and insensitivity on campus. Serving as an accountability, education and compliance leader, the Assistant Vice President chairs key committees and works closely with other members of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Office and various campus partners to ensure that policies and practices are in alignment with federal and state laws related to the non-discrimination policy of the College. As an inclusive educator, the Assistant Vice President develops and implements a comprehensive training program throughout the academic year. This position shares oversight of the College's compliance with Human Resources, the Office of the Dean of Faculty and Compliance and Risk Management. The Sponsored Research Officer (SRO) is the frontline support for College faculty across all disciplines seeking external funding for research, scholarship, and creative projects through grants and fellowships. The SRO gets to know individual faculty and their research interests and objectives, helps search for external funding sources, assists in preparing proposals, proposal budgets and subaward documents, secures institutional approvals and handles online submissions for government agencies. The Physics Department at Mount Holyoke is small and thriving. The five professors and the lab director, along with support from the physics technician and department coordinator, support coursework and activities for all our students, and we graduate 10 - 18 majors each year. We pride ourselves on providing opportunities for students to engage with potentially publishable research as early as their first year. Mount Holyoke is an undergraduate liberal arts college for women with 2,200 students and 220 faculty. We are located about 80 miles west of Boston in the Connecticut River valley and are a member of the Five College consortium consisting of Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke, Smith College, and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. The Department of Physics and the Science Center at Mount Holyoke College seek a technician to work 37.5 hours per week throughout the year. This person will support the research and instructional needs of the Physics department focused on the repair, maintenance, organization, and design of equipment for classroom demonstrations, instructional labs, and research labs. In addition, this person will perform similar instrumentation and design tasks for other STEM departments and the makerspace. They will also teach a survey course in the Science Center machine shop each semester. We anticipate that ⅔ of the work will directly support the needs of the physics department, and ⅓ will be more broadly spread across the Science Center and makerspace. Five College Astronomy Department Fellow South Hadley, MA
The Five College Astronomy Department (FCAD), which consists of Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke, and Smith Colleges and the University of Massachusetts, invites applications for a three-year postdoctoral fellowship, to be based at Mount Holyoke College, with a tentative start date of July 1, 2023 but no later than September 1, 2023. The successful candidate must be dedicated to undergraduate education and enjoy working with students. The educational component will consist of teaching two undergraduate classes per academic year, of which at least one will be in observational astronomy, including leading a one-week observing trip to a professional observatory in Arizona. The second course may also be in observational science or another area of interest to the candidate. The fellow is also expected to conduct a strong research program that is synergistic with existing research in the FCAD and that has potential for undergraduate contributions. The FCAD provides multiple opportunities for research collaborations. For example, applicants will have the opportunity to participate in science projects with the Large Millimeter Telescope in Mexico. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in astronomy, planetary science, physics, or a closely-related field, should submit (1) a cover letter; (2) a curriculum vitae; (3) a statement of research goals and a proposal for a research project that would be conducted during your time in the FCAD; (4) a statement of educational goals and teaching experience, including an indication of what you would offer to the planned observational astronomy course(s) and a second possible course; and (5) three confidential letters of recommendation. President’s House and Event Manager South Hadley, MA
Under the supervision of the Chief of Staff and Secretary of the College, the President’s House and Event Manager ensures that the President’s house and gardens are outfitted and maintained as a public space and as a private residence. The President’s House and Event Manager supervises the part-time Housekeeper. The President’s House and Event Manager coordinates all event logistics in the President’s House, from intimate dinners to large-scale receptions, liaising with Events Services, Facilities, and other departments across campus, as well as external vendors. The President’s House and Event Manager ensures the President’s vehicle is maintained. The position is funded by a grant from the NIH Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) to investigate the role of neurocognitive markers of metric structure in explaining the relationship between reading comprehension ability and prosodic fluency (R15HD109686).
