The Technology Infrastructure and Systems Support (TISS) group, within Library, Information, and Technology Services (LITS) at Mount Holyoke College, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Head of Digital Library and Academic Technologies (DLAT). Reporting to the Director of TISS, the Head of DLAT manages a team of four technical professionals responsible for administering and maintaining a broad range of academic-centered technologies. These include digital repositories (Islandora, ResourceSpace, etc.), web applications (Wordpress Drupal, etc.), and other platforms that are core to supporting the College’s mission. They partner with colleagues in LITS, Research and Instructional Support, Archives and Special Colleges, the College Art Museum, faculty, researchers, and academic centers to make effective use of these platforms and technical environment for teaching, learning, research, and unique digital content and collections management. Essential job functions include, but are not limited to: providing leadership in alignment with the strategic goals of the College; implement proactive, adaptive, and highly collaborative practices to support and maintain services and technologies; and actively engage in the management and maintenance of applications and systems that support the digital collections, academic, research and pedagogical needs of the College.

Special preference will be given to those with experience working in living-learning communities. Serving in the on-call rotation requires a 15 minute response time. A partially furnished apartment with utilities included. This is an ideal position for a new professional. A Bachelor’s Degree is required. This is an entry-level position with a limit of three years, with a possible extension for one additional year max.

Job Purpose The Associate Director of Residential Life and Orientation will work to create a strong sense of community within the 18 residence halls on campus and through oversight of our New Student Orientation program. The Associate Director will be responsible for the selection, training, supervision, and evaluation of three Area Coordinators. The Associate Director will oversee all community development efforts in the residence halls, work closely with our living learning community and help establish a residential curriculum. The Associate Director will indirectly supervise 76 paraprofessional Residential Fellows and Resident Advisors and will work with staff to ensure the selection, training and development of these student staff. The Associate Director will also directly supervise the Orientation Captains and indirectly supervise the Orientation Leaders as they work to produce a comprehensive welcoming experience for students on campus in the Fall and Spring.
