Lecturer in Music South Hadley, MA
Mount Holyoke College Department of Music invites applications for a full-time lecturer position in vocal performance, beginning in Fall 2022. Salary is competitive. The appointee should be an expert in Western classical vocal art music pedagogy and performance and familiar with other vocal genres, including musical theatre, jazz, popular, and (or) non-Western idioms. The appointee will teach approximately 20 weekly hours of voice lessons. In addition to teaching undergraduate music majors as well as non-majors, the new hire will perform related duties, including coordinating the department's vocal performance program, student advising, organizing masterclasses, conducting studio auditions, and participating in the artistic life of the college. Area Coordinator, Student Involvement South Hadley, MA
The Area Coordinator is a 12-month position who reports to the Associate Director of Residential Life. The Area Coordinator is responsible for the overall functioning of a student residential area of campus consisting of 5-7 residence halls, including direct supervision of Residential Fellows and Resident Advisors. Area Coordinators work with the Associate Dean of Students & Director of Residential Life and Associate Director of Residential Life to develop an environment where individual responsibility and respect for differences are fostered and valued. In addition, the Area Coordinators are responsible for planning and promoting programmatic initiatives that will support community development. Special preference will be given to those with experience working in living-learning communities. Serving in the on-call rotation requires a 15 minute response time. Salary $44,000 plus a partially furnished apartment with utilities is included. This is an ideal position for a new professional. A Bachelor’s Degree is required. This is an entry-level position with a limit of three years, with a possible extension for one additional year max.
