Reporting to the Director of Technology Infrastructure and Systems Support (TISS), the Head of Academic Technologies (AT) manages a team of technical professionals responsible for administering and maintaining a portfolio of academic technologies and applications. They lead the team in ensuring a user-focused mindset around architecting, integrating, and delivering services. They partner with other areas of LITS in supporting an outstanding technical environment for teaching, learning, research, and managing digital collections.
This position is a member of the TISS group, which focuses on providing the technology foundation and its accompanying framework for the infrastructure, resources, and services that support the College. TISS group includes data center and PaaS operations, networking, web application support, business intelligence, academic technologies, and administrative computing. |

The student life team does this by complementing the academic program and enhancing the Mount Holyoke College student experience through co-curricular opportunities, community building, and cultivation of student leadership as well as by providing resources and support that enable student well-being.
The Assistant Director for Community and Belonging is a 12-month full-time position that reports directly to the Executive Director, Associate Dean of Students. The Assistant Director’s duties include a wide range of administrative and programmatic initiatives to further the work of Community and Belonging and play an integral role in the College’s diversity and inclusion efforts. The Assistant Director serves as a campus leader in coordinating training, leadership opportunities, and co-curricular programs aimed at building interfaith and cultural competency, humility, and skills needed to engage across differences and thrive in a diverse community. The Assistant Director works closely with the Community and Belonging staff to foster all students’ holistic sense of belonging through advising, counseling, providing spiritual support, crisis support, and advocacy. The Assistant Director works closely with other campus-wide departments (i.e., student life departments, Office of DEI, academic departments, etc) and must have the ability to see their work in the context of and in partnership with the work of others. A desire to engage with students and participate within the life of the College is key to this position. |

The position is funded by a grant from the NIH Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) to investigate the role of neurocognitive markers of metric structure in explaining the relationship between reading comprehension ability and prosodic fluency (R15HD109686). The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the research: collecting behavioral, eye-tracking, and event-related potential (ERP) data; training and supervising undergraduate research assistants; performing data coding and analysis; and writing papers and conference talks. |
