Mount Holyoke College Department of Music invites applications for a full-time lecturer position in vocal performance, beginning in Fall 2022. Salary is competitive. The appointee should be an expert in Western classical vocal art music pedagogy and performance and familiar with other vocal genres, including musical theatre, jazz, popular, and (or) non-Western idioms. The appointee will teach approximately 20 weekly hours of voice lessons. In addition to teaching undergraduate music majors as well as non-majors, the new hire will perform related duties, including coordinating the department's vocal performance program, student advising, organizing masterclasses, conducting studio auditions, and participating in the artistic life of the college. We are particularly interested in a candidate committed to developing a vision for Mount Holyoke College's Vocal Studies Program in collaboration with other music faculty members.
